Complexity: 2.00 / 5
Game Mode: Competitive

Step into the intrigue, rivalry, and shifting loyalties of the Tudor court in The Six of VIII, a strategic trick-taking game inspired by the turbulent reigns of King Henry VIII and his six wives.

Choose your allegiance as tensions rise between those loyal to Catherine of Aragon and supporters of the ambitious Anne Boleyn. Play your cards carefully as you compete to capture valuable tricks containing influential courtiers and score the most points. Each Queen commands her own suit, which becomes trump during her reign, while a unique timeline reflects the relative lengths of each Queen's time on the throne. With partners seated across from one another, teams must work together, passing cards and following suit as they navigate four hands of shifting power and opportunity.

For an even deeper layer of intrigue, the advanced variant introduces the King and two Spies. The King reigns supreme as the highest trump, while the seemingly insignificant Spies can secretly undermine the opposing team, revealing themselves as powerful cards of the rival suit. And when the struggle for influence becomes too close, the Church of England card offers a chance to annul a trick and turn the tide of a hand.

Will your loyalty secure the crown, or will cunning and careful card play rewrite the course of Tudor history?
