In Codenames, two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents, while their teammates know them only by their codenames—seemingly random words like chocolate, sunflower, or even carrot. The goal is to identify all of your team's agents before the opposing team, without accidentally revealing the assassin.
Spymasters take turns giving one-word clues paired with a number, challenging their teammates to connect the clue to the correct cards. Guess correctly and keep going, but choose an opposing agent or innocent bystander and your turn ends. Find the assassin, and your team loses immediately.
